Why BBQ?

When you think of Barbeque, you think of family, fun, and friends. Who doesn’t enjoy a good old fashioned backyard BBQ? That’s where it all began after all. Barbeque is America’s original comfort food.

When you think of the Sunset Grille & Tap Room, that’s what we want you to think of – that and delicious food and great craft beers of course!

The Sunset menus have a lot of great items on them. We’ve got some awesome specialty burgers, a little bit of seafood, and all the old time favorites like chicken fingers, chicken wings, and good old cheese steak sandwiches. We even have some great Mexican entrees!

But BBQ is what we do best! Pitmaster/owner Rich Haab has been “playing around with his smokers” for 31 years now. “Cooking BBQ = cooking with wood, and that takes lots of practice” says Haab. Haab’s original forte into BBQ started with a hollowed out grill and a competition BBQ team composed of himself, his friends and all of their kids! Over thirty years, and lots of smokers later, and he has perfected the BBQ Brisket and Pulled Pork found on all the Sunset menus!
